I just opened my 30,000 gallon pool but when I went to start my Dolphin Atlantis it wouldn’t move. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting I can find and have come to the conclusion it must be shot. I would like to replace it with a similar vacuum but the newer Dolphins are a little out of my price range. Does anyone have any recommendations for $600 or less? Thanks!

Welcome to TFP.
If you wish to consider a cordless robot, they were on sale for under $600. Check out the thread below for the Aiper Scuba 1 (standard) i.e. the Pro version is more expensive.

What you’ll find with the cordless models is that
1. They don’t climb the deep ends well (prob not a big deal if your pool is only 6’ in the deep end). I have 38k gallons in a 20x40 pool and around 10 feet.

2. They’re a pain to drag out and charge and put back in every day.

I too had a tight budget when my corded model finally bit it. I sold it on eBay for parts only and put that toward a new Jacuzzi JC model. It was around $1000, but zero complaints and works even better than my last model (you can search my previous posts for further details).

I also bit the bullet and got a Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus. My robot was my only vacuum and I figured I’d go with what worked for the last 10 years. Thanks for your advice guys!
