First year with a pool and was hoping to automate some of the cleaning. Was looking at a robot (Dolphin E20) or the Betta SE skimmer for a cleaner, both in the same price range. Would you recommend one over the other if you had to choose.

Dolphin. The skimmers are hardly proven. Plus you can manually replicate the skimmer much more easily.
