RJ60 Plus installation question - will it fit here? alternatives?

I would like to install the cell then flow sensor inline where I have circled in red. Between the elbows is 19.5" of 1.5" pvc. I am reading the manual and it says the flow sensor is 4" and the cell is 15.75" - total of 19.75". Looks like I am just short, .25", to install it.

Here's the question: Any reason I cannot buy their vertical install kit and install it horizontally, going towards the grass, on that same pipe (weight maybe)? Or is there any better ideas for installation the community may have based on my plumbing?

Thanks everyone!

Wes

You can eliminate some of those 90° elbows by redoing everything back to heater outlet. Maybe purchase a new set of unions for the Raypak and then rebuild from that point eliminating some 90’s at the top and bottom. You can certainly buy their vertical riser kit and just make sure that the cell is oriented properly.

The RJ Series are shipped ready to install on 2" plumbing. For 1.5", you'll need to use reducer bushings which will add to the overall length of each component. You do have some room for creative plumbing. You could install a 45 degree fitting off the lower 90 (towards the back) and install the cell on the 45. That will give you room on the upper horizontal to install the flow switch. You'll have to make sure you've got the room.

This is a horrible sketch, but hopefully you get the point...
