I've already had to send in my cell and control box for some kind of repair this year to the tune of 70 bucks. They replaced a cooling fan and added an adapter for the "cell connection" error. Its getting cold here and I've been periodically checking my SWG to see if it shut down so I can take the cell out and put the bypass in for the winter. To my surprise it still says the water is 77F. I checked with a digital meat thermometer and the pool is 56F. Should I leave it to produce all winter, remove it and start with LC like normal, or call Circupool? I am really tired of dealing with DSP to be honest. The cell is working fine besides that. How important is water temp to the SWG besides it stopping when the water gets cold?

I can understand your frustration at this point. :brickwall: You seem to have the following options:
1 - Request a service ticket return (probably at more cost to you).
2 - Remove cell now and stick the dummy in there (use liquid).
3 - Leave the cell in and let it produce FC as long as it "thinks" it can. Eventually you might see a temp error and then turn it off at the module (liquid chlorine).

I know we like to think these products give accurate temp and salt readings, but they can be wonky sometimes. As long as the unit is producing FC to your satisfaction, I'm not so sure it's worth the hassle to return again (IMO), but certainly do what feels best to you.

Thanks for the reply. I thought of seeing what DSP says but at this point the warranty is prorated and shipping is on me so I think I will take my chances and let it produce a little while longer. Yesterday I was at 20FC so I turned it down to 50 percent. I'll check it when I empty the pump basket 1-2 times a week.
