I am renovating the pool, old Anthony Sylvian concrete pool 35 to 40k gallon free form. I getting River Rok Sapphire Bay plaster.

Should I fill the pool with 2 hoses, can take 2 days to fill or should i spend $675 per water truck to fill the pool cost will be 3500k., 5 trucks, to fill immediately.

My pool plaster guys saying ok to fill with hose?

Welcome to TFP.

Filling with hoses is fine provided you have clean water that is metal free. What water company do you get your house water from? What town are you in?

Once the pool is filling the water must not be turned off until it is full or you can get rings around the pool.

Live in Mahwah, NJ, it can take 2 to 3 days filled the pool by hose, would that affect river rok plaster curing process? plus have lots of trees around the pool and with spring lost if Crud is falling...

Your water is pretty good. But according to this article...

Mahwah provides water for about 25,000 residents, 68.9% of it coming from the Ramapo River Valley underground aquifer that is pumped into seven wells. The other 31.1% of its water is provided by Suez North America.

The quality of the well water is suspect. Attached is the 2023 report from the Mahwah Water Department. Your water has little iron but the close to 0.3 ppm of copper. Levels of 0.5 ppm of copper can cause staining of pools. Copper in Pool Water - Further Reading

When I replastered my pool in early June a few years ago I used water trucks to fill the pool to not deal with pollen and seeds and other tree stuff falling onto the new plaster. That plus the copper in your municipal water may be reason enough to pay for the water trucks.
