Rheem heat pump 5350 TI-A - any good?

I truely believe you will be fine with that. Always use a good solar cover and if you can return back to the pump without the spa overflowing into the pool you will be fine.

Good luck as well...not sure if I missed it, but now would be a great time to add a SWG if you already do not have one and it is of any interest :goodjob:

My pool guy thanks you for posting this. I called him up this morning and told him to throw in a SWG. I ended up going with a CompuChlor by CompuPool. Even though it's a brand I've never heard of, he swears up and down on it. Comes with a 5 year warranty and it's cells are self cleaning. I'll probably catch a lot of flack for not having researched it a little better but I really believe this guy was doing me right.

I ended up spending only $3500 for EVERYTHING (pump, filter, heater, pentair valves, and chlorinator) installed.

FYI - The heater's been running for about 45 minutes and the spa temperature is already up over 30 degrees.

I believe you found a good deal. :goodjob:
The dealer in your area must be hungry for business this time of year.
The Rheem corporate offices are in Atlanta but the pool heatpump assembly plant is in Arcadia(?), Florida; so you are supporting jobs in your own area.

It must seem like getting a new new pool

The Rheem 6350 heat pump is very efficient. With the 15 cent/kw/h rate in your area, it costs you about 75 cents per hour to operate.

Enjoy!

$3,500 sounds like a really good deal, please to check the gentleman's references, but if he's hungry for business, hey it works out great for you and him :goodjob: . Ask him what size SWG he plans on installing. On a 11k gal pool, you would want a SWG capable of handling a 20-30k gal pool....the theory behind, getting an oversized SWG is that the SWG doesn't have to work so hard to keep up with chlorine demand and will also allow you to run shorter filtration times, if you choose to do so.
