The pool I operate has really bad water circulation because we don't have any return eyeballs. The return pipe measures 1.5 inches.

I bought a bunch of return eyeballs that fit the pipe, but they pop out as soon as I turn on the pump. So, I tried another set with a slightly thicker middle section, but they still pop out when the pump is on.

I've watched every video and searched online, and they all say it should be as simple as measuring the hole and inserting the eyeball, but it’s not working for me. Gluing is not an option.

Does anyone have any advice or solutions for this issue? This has been plaguing me for months!

So the first picture is the only return jet we have. its 1.5 inches and it fits perfectly and doesn't pop out but its my only one.. my boss bought these longer ones with a screw on cover. it didn't work.. so I got these other ones with a ticket middle like the one that works. but that one doesn't work. I'm completely confused why it wont work. the only thing I can think of is the first one is a tiny tiny bit thicket than the last one. the PVC pipe is 1.5 inches as well
Welcome to TFP! Could you share some pics of the eyeballs you purchased and the return line plumbing you hope to connect to? Might help.

There's got to be a trick to help keep those in place without gluing. All I can think of is some sort or wrap to give it that extra bit of grip to help make it snug in the pipe. Perhaps @AQUA~HOLICS can shed some light on this for us.

well I was expecting an easy solution to a problem I didnt even wanna think about lol. such as possibly having a leaking return fitting. Thanks!!
To be clear I wasn’t suggesting your fitting was leaking. Frankenplugs are designed to solve that issue, but they install in a friction fit manner that would definitely stay secure and prevent the blowout you are describing.
