Resurfacing pool with NPT

Has anyone noticed the Stonescape Midnight Blue at NPT is currently brown? There is a lack of black pebbles so instead of blue water, I’m getting moss/algae swamp look. We just had it installed and even though NPT admit their pebbles are the problem, we have not been able to come up with a solution.

Contractor applied StoneScape Midnight Blue in mini pebble and it turned out brown. They said they could not control the pebble coloration but am willing to redo it in Moraine Micro pebble. Not sure if this is the fix. Has anyone had the experience of midnight blue installation being brown?

It seems there isn't any quality control somewhere along the line, either at StoneScape or the installer. I would want to see the bags of pebble with the color name on them before it's installed. If you did that the first time and you got brown then it's a StoneScape issue.

Thank you! Thanks for your help. The pool was installed a month ago and we have been working with “Start Up” so the water is balanced now- but the pebbled plaster is still mainly brown. There are streaks of blue where there are less brown pebbles that are gorgeous. But most of the pool is brown. The guys said he was an artist which it was our mistake to have believed him. Brown pool gives green vibes. :(
Does anyone know if StoneScape micro pebble in Moraine would be a good replacement or quartzscape midnight blue reflections would be better?
