Get some granular chlorine stabilizer (brand doesn't matter). Use pool math and figure out how much to add to get 30ppm of CYA into the pool. (Hint: 2.5lbs. Use "effects of adding" or CYA in pool math to confirm). You can add it to a sock, then tie off and suspend the sock from a stick and let the CYA dissolve, hanging 6-12" from a return.
Once the sock is in the water, use liquid chlorine to raise your FC to the target FC for a CYA of 30. Always follow this link-->
FC/CYA Levels
Hint...for a CYA of 30, your target is 4-6. ~78 ounces of 10% liquid chlorine will raise your FC by 6ppm.
For your pH, use pool math to calculate how much muriatic acid to use to lower your pH by .4. Add that amount, pouring slowly in front of a return, pump running. Test 30 minutes later. Repeat if necessary until you reach a pH of 7.4.
Your calcium level is fine.
This should get your square for initial pool balance.
You should test daily for FC and make sure that WHEN YOU TEST, you are in range for your FC. If you are below, then raise your target fc above 4-6...so that when you test, you are between 4 and 6.
On the pH, I would test daily for now. High TA (>80), will cause pH rise. When pH hits 8, lower again to 7.4 with muriatic acid (use pool math for amount to add). When you add acid, it reduces pH and reduces TA. pH will rise on its own without a rise in TA. Continue the acid addition at pH of 8, until TA is between 60-80, then STOP lowering pH to 7.4...only lower to 7.8. With a TA of 60-80, your pH should be fairly stable 7.8-8.0. Any pH in the 7s is acceptable.
