I got a crazy Idea. A local power washer used ~10% Sodium hypochlorite on my house to make it sparkle. lots of rinsing. House looks awesome, he did this about the same time I was learning about TFP.
SO- Now I got this small bucket of 3"tabs, that has at least 6 promises on the label, as you educated folks know is just bull.

I want to take the tabs and break them up and put in water to make ~10% bleach for cleaning bricks, sidewalks and stuff, hence re-pourposing them.
Question is, what is the ratio of tab to 1 gallon of water? I have a scale that use to weigh spices for bbq, so grams is not an issue.

Yowsa - that is one crazy idea. It’s a little less than a pound in a gallon just for the chlorine content but this seems like a bad idea. Never mind the trouble quickly dissolving trichlor, even when you do get it dissolved the dissolved trichlor is not sodium hypochlorite like the liquid. It’ll be super acidic which bleach is not. I don’t know what it would be like to clean with and don’t want to find out.

hold onto your pucks and use a couple every now and then when you need a cya boost.

It sure helps to bounce crazy Idea's off folks who are smarter than me.. As I sit here laughing at myself, I laugh even harder thinking, I should just spend the $3.50 at WM and get a gallon of 10% for cleaning. O-My, ya, takes a week to desolve a puck in the tower, what was I thinking. for the record, no adult beverages were involved..LOL

Thanks

If it makes you feel any better this weekend I was treating algae on my fence with bleach until I ran out of bleach. I was feeling too lazy to head to the store and for about 1.2 seconds the thought of mixing up some cal-hypo popped into my head… yeah, that probably would have taken out all the azaleas….

Send them to @Newdude... he is stock piling stuff for his future soon-to-be pool.. and he as a Garage that looks like this:
