Hello I’m replacing two skimmers on my inground pool and I have a extra pipe that appears to go to the main drain.
Problem is I have a pipe going to the main drain that was attached to the skimmer, the pipe in question was not connected to anything.

Could someone please help?

Welcome to TFP.

We are not better then you at guessing where the pipe runs to.

You can blow air from a compressor into the pipe and see if you see any bubbles anywhere in the pool.

You can find a plumber with a camera on a long cable that they put down drain pipes. Those type of cameras often have a locator probe on the tip so you can locate the position of the cable in the pipe from the ground.
