I have a Globrite I need to replace and happy doing it myself, but are there any videos or step by step? Do I need to lower the water to below the niche? The one I'm replacing is on a shelf about 4" below surface so wouldn't be a big deal. Man, these lights suck.
Any leads on the best price for it? maybe ebay?

It is pretty straight forward. No need to lower the water. Take the wiring apart at the junction box and tie a pull cord to it. You need the tool to disengage the light from the receptacle. Then pull the light out feeding the pull cord in. Tie the new cord to the pull line and reverse.

Do the silicone sealant hack on the new globrite. Might get you some more life. Search youtube for it.

Try Polytec Pools for lights. I have never found any prices that much different. Look for free shipping and no tax.

Thanks Marty. Likely looking are replacing two Globrites with Sunseeker option. The Pentair removal tool a must in your opinion? Assuming ‘brute force’ option raises risk of breaking something we don’t want broken?

The removal tool just lets you turn the Globrite about a 1/8 turn to unlock it. Two small screwdrivers would work. But you likely would need to be in the pool to get the proper leverage.

Ask FS -- they have a kit to splice I believe. But I know Pentair would not recommend that.
