I replaced an led pool light. It worked for about two weeks then turned to Crud. I'm gonna try again with a free replacement light. I have a 12v system and the light comes with 50' of cord. The instructions say not to cut the cord (cable). But I only need 35 feet to get to my junction box. Can cutting the cord affect the performance of my led lights? Is that possible? The cord would be cut and shortened out of water. So again, can cutting the cable affect the performance of my led light? Thanks for your input.

No.

Light cord is required to be long enough for light to be removed from its niche and placed on the pool deck for servicing.
