I currently have a Jandy 1.5 HP single speed pump with the Jandy Aqualink RS6six controler. My pool and spa are approx 19-20k gal and chlorine based with a gas heater.

I plan to do the work myself.

I am looking to replace the pump with a Jandy variable speed pump and wondering what size I should get.

I would also like to replace the board with an iaqualink board so that the pump will fully work with the system as well control the system from my phone.

any suggestions on the what size pump I should get and board parts (aqualink 2 or aqualink 3) would be greatly appreciated. Where to purchase (I think I have a really good resource now but always willing to compare pricing). If anyone has experience replacing these and wants to offer advice that would be appreciated as well.

The replacement kit for the iAquaLink is iQ30-RS. This will get you the new PCB with rev T.2 and the latest antenna that will work with Mesh wifi. It is easy to replace however Jandy requires “professional” installation so I had a handyman help me and billed me for his hour of time.

WIth regard to the pump, I purchased the 3 Hp pump, because you can run it a low RPM and still get very good flow with minimal energy consumption.

Thank you. I am assuming the pump is a vsp. Do you mind letting me know the manufacture?

Shown in my signature. A Pentair 3hp IntelliFlo VSF model 011056 which is still available by some suppliers but being replaced by the new IntelliFlo3 model. The IntelliFlo version can connect to the AquaLink via RS485 cable. Other types of Pentair pumps do not connect to Jandy AquaLink, not that I am aware of. Obviously Jandy pumps connect to the the Jandy automation.
