Replacing IC60

It sounds like you gambled on a knock off cell and didn't win. Then they are giving you the run around on the tech side because they don't want to exchange it. Not that this will make a difference, but use Pool Math to calculate your CSI which should be between -.3 and 0 to avoid calcium accumulation in the cell.

Almost finished the season and the ICRF60 has been flawless for me. Once I had the CYA dialed in, I may have adjusted the salt cell up or down a few times over 5 months, but it maintained the FC nicely. I did ask the manufacturer about buying the salt cell separately down the roa dwhen I need to replace it and just swapping over the top control unit. They said that is done through them. I am hoping to see the part appear online in the future so I can see the price and have some competition. BTW, I have never seen any calcium accumulation on my old IC60 or the new cell. I keep my calcium at the lower end of the acceptable range for gunite pool based on plaster manufacturer specs.
