Our 6 year old IC40 is saying low salt but salt level per taylor test is 3400. Am looking to install an IC60 in its place as we've had to run the IC40 at 100% just to keep chlorine levels adequate. Our 27K pool is in direct sun basically all day long and we have to constantly skim stuff out of it due to fairly persistent winds in order to keep the organic contaminants low. The length of the IC60 says 17" which is the same the IC40 lists at so figure it should be a fairly easy swap. We have the Easy Touch system that's compatible with IC20-IC60. Just don't want to have to change our plumbing at all as our pool repair/remodel guy is being problematic lately. This should be a simple swap, yes?
My 2nd question is if anyone has done business with waterworksproducts.com or has heard of them as I found a really good price on an IC60 there. If I'd known how crazy expensive it was going to be to replace the stupid cell after only 6 years I may have reconsidered going with a swcg. Thanks to the failed cell we're dealing with SLAM'ing our pool for black algae so stuck buying chlorine anyway. It's a fiberglass hybrid that the fiberglass guy cheaped out on the resin on so the algae has set up in the cross hatching at all different angles where the resin has worn off. We're having such *fun*
