I attempted to replace the side aerator but from being so brittle it broke apart and now the wrench doesn't have anything to hold onto. I've tried using a needle nose plier inside but it doesn't catch onto the sides. I'm thinking of sticking a screwdriver inside the hole and breaking apart what's left of the aerator so I can screw the new one in. Hopefully, without breaking the pipe it screws into. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. IMG20240621170807.jpg

I chipped two spots on the face of what was left of mine so I could use a screwdriver to tap it in the CCW rotation to remove it. It took a while to free it up but it eventually came out. The problem is now finding a replacement that fits the threads properly. The Crud from Amazon is a different, tighter thread than the NPT that is in our wall.
