Replacement Hayward Multi port valve leaking. video included.

Last year water would constantly trickle out of the backwash hose. I knew a seal must have broken. Sure enough the spider gasket was broken and disfigured. I went and purchased a new multi port valve assembly because the entire unit was very worn. I installed the new one and water will not stop leaking from the seam where the screws go. The screws are very tight, tighter than they originally were. Im kind of lost.

The screws may be tight, but is there any sort of noticeable gap between the top and bottom housing? Is the o-ring seated properly?

If it's new, take it back and exchange it.
