and purchased the original salt cell from Hayward
I installed the cell and it’s keep giving me low salt reading and inspect cell after 30 seconds i already added salt to the pool my reading is above 3000ppm
I don’t undurstand why this isn’t working ?
Thank you

Welcome to TFP.

Check if your system is set for Low Salt Mode (approx. 1,500 PPM) or Normal Salt Mode (approx. 3,200 PPM).

Also check if the J4 solder pads are jumpered and you are set to use the T-15 cell.

This is the basic information we need to know in diagnosing an problem:
  • Report all readings when you..
    • Move the switch from auto to off and check all of the readings.
    • Move the switch back to auto and recheck the readings.
    • Move the switch to off for a minute and then back to auto and recheck the readings.
  • What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?
  • What is the actual salinity and how are you measuring it?

This is the picture of the new cell and the aqua troll

You have burning from overheating on the cell cord socket. Check what the cell cord plug looks like.

A corroded connection can cause a malfunctioning cell.

It’s brand new the cord looks good
I just replaced the salt unit
Do you think they are compatible ?

What is brand new?

What is the "salt unit"?

What would not be compatible?
