Family Leisure installed my pool & only uses zeo - last year i had a time with slightly cloudy water that disappeared when my filter was off & left me with “orange dirt” on the floor & steps. Worried that there was something growing in my water (even though i have never dropped below fc target for my cya level) i went thru slam procedure multiple times & eventually settled on the fact that every week or so i would just vacuum to waste & the problem lessened. When i closed I brought the pool to slam level, passed oclt, vacuumed to waste & put the cover on. I left the steps in the pool. I opened to gorgeous clear water with no debris 8E15C4B6-0D2C-4546-81D1-B23F5BA94271.jpegas soon as i started running the pump the “dirt” was back ?‍♀️ ?7B14B952-7628-4FC2-9CCB-A86B1E651786.jpeg
I am going to bite the bullet & replace this sand if i can get the collar off the filter is this sand ok to buy ? Its all that’s available in my area 8E0F392E-9063-41BC-A347-5C1AD507EDEE.png it& do i need 250#? This is my filter?B2501F2F-A69E-4572-A0B3-8B807C1D8716.jpeg

Nice clear water. :goodjob: Take your time shopping and find another source, and of course make sure it's pool sand (#20 silica). As you may know, don't forget to pre-fill the filter with some water to protect the laterals from the new sand you will be dumping inside. Have a nice weekend.

Thanks y’all- I noticed the quickcrete said 20/40 so it kinda made me wonder. I’ll check with our local pool store & see if i can do better. Need to get a carboy of lc from there anyway.
