Like PoolGate said above, just pry off the square looking frame piece that's on the bottom and you'll be able to pull off the grey case with the plates and posts out of the top. The grey case comes apart by releasing some tabs and then all the plates will be loose. Putting it back together is a bit more tricky, but what I've found works best is to put all the plates back in the slots of one side of the grey case (the one that has a stop in the slot to keep the plates from sliding out) and then slide on the other half of the grey case. It takes a bit of finagling to line up all the plates in the slots of the half you're sliding on, but it's doable. The rest is all pretty simple.Hi, My replacement cell is still a month or so away. However, if it's easy to disassemble and put it back together, I can do it on Sunday. I just haven't taken one apart yet so not sure what I'm in for.
I fixed my salt cell last night again, and you can see below how it just ate away the steel nail I used to make the connection last time. I put a new identical nail next to it for comparison. I made the repair this time with a thicker nail and wrapped it around to make more contact. Let's see how long this lasts, but I have 6.1A again and bubbles out of the return (for now).
I'm still very interested in getting my hands on an end plate with post in good condition to try in the middle. I will gladly pay for shipping if someone has one available. Send me a PM for my details.
