removing steps during closing

Have pool closed except for the Confer steps that are new this spring. Had ladder mounted to deck originally.
I added sand and placed in full pool with no problem alone. Now pool drained about 1 1/2 feet, steps about half under water but full of wet sand.
Anyone remove by themselves or does it take 2 people one in pool and one out?

Thanks

I'd use whatever was necessary to safely remove the steps without dragging them up against the liner. If the steps are wide and heavy, it could be a bit difficult for one person. 2 can do it easily.

Thanks
Just to be safe I will ask son in Law, he's a big brute and does not know his own strength which can be a problem at times when it comes to finesse. Maybe I shouldn't say that, but a good body guard.

The deck does overhang edge of top rail by 4 inches or so and may be a good backward pivot point when pulling up and back
