Instead of reading the forum before putting my new Confer stairs in the pool last year, I went ahead and followed the directions that came with them. I filled them with sand. They were a pain to remove for closing last fall, but I managed it. This spring, it wasn't too hard to put them back in. Closing is still a ways off, but I'd like to be able to remove them if I need to SLAM anyway, so I'd like to remove the sand and weigh them down with another method like other folks do. So, does anyone have advice on how to remove the sand from inside plastic steps?
