Hello, I have an old, leaky solar heater and live in Florida. I do not need it. Will I screw up pressure by just re-plumbing the solar in pipe that feeds from the bottom of the Jandy valve to the returns instead of up to the roof thus removing the whole thing from the circuit? It looks like 2" through the solar down to 1 3/4" to the returns.

Re-plumbing as you describe should have no ill effect. Unless your plumbing is unusual in some way, the water flow would be the same as when the solar valve is closed.
