Well, we are going on a 2 week trip in our travel trailer with 2 grandkids. I have shown my SIL how to test Cl levels and how to adjust the SWG output if necessary. I will reduce the Ph down before we leave. He will also check the skimmer. I am hoping we come back to a nice clean and clear pool.

Fingers crossed. I would think with the SWG you should be fine if all he did was scoop out the skimmer.

Update: Came back to a fairly clean pool. Cl level was good, no algae, water clear, thanks to the SWCG.. The only unforeseen circumstance was that we apparently had a thunderstorm that blew some leaves and debris into the pool and raised the level above the skimmer, but it only happened yesterday so I was able to fix everything quickly. I had told the SIL to add water if it went too low but did not tell him to pump water out if too high.
