Recs for a mesh safety cover?

I don't want loop loc- we had it last cover. But we are not going to be here for 10+years and do not have pets or kids to worry about for the most part.
I've been looking at a bunch of companies and am now at the point of too much reading. Anyone have a tight mesh safety cover they like that was not 2 grand??

If you clean up the yard once Mother Nature is done shedding, you don't need to cover at all with no safety concerns.

A tarp style cover will keep any crud out if that's a particular concern, and is considerably cheaper when backyard safety isn't a concern with no kids/pets.

There's many generic companies selling safety covers, likely made by the big 3, but there's no way of knowing for sure, or if it'll hold up if it's not a big 3 cover wholesaled to the generic company. The generic names change often as best i can tell, if they even have a name in the first place. As a result, we dont have any off brand reccomendations. YMMV if you go that route.

I just got a Yardguard bloc mesh 99 cover, $1600 for the cover and all the hardware. I am installing. It's for a 20 x 40 pool with exterior steps. Shop around online, the price does vary from place to place. Seems well made. Made in the USA. Hardware is brass and stainless (not the greatest corrosion resistant stainless, but probably decent, it's somewhat magnetic. Generally the more corrosion resistant the less magnetic).

I have no idea how it will perform or hold up, I have used water bags and tarp up till now.

Yeah, we definitely need a cover. In MA we get snow and with that comes all the Crud from the trees. We get lots of sand/dirt/small twigs and rogue leaves.

Ok then. I forgot how many sticks come down in the snow since moving to an open yard. Do not miss the trees. At. All.

Go with a tarp on a strict budget, spilt the difference as Bill did above, or buy once / cry once.

So far it's doing well, I have had to tighten the straps once, but I did not have they as tight as they should have been to start with. But there was a little of stretching. The cover is a dense enough mesh that water will pool on it to some degree. Not having to clean leave off of a tarp type cover is so nice. After I got it installed I took it off to use the pool a couple times, pretty easy for one person, two people would be really easy. Since I have narrow steps the reinforcement in the cover is not in the ideal location for a standard cover. I have a couple sheets of dense closed celled foam padding to help midigate any wear issues.
