Recommendations from the group on chemically cleaning filters and lines.

I have adhered to and adopted most everything this group recommends. You recently purchased a home with a hot tub. I've read a few articles on other sites that speak of chemically cleaning your filters and jet lines. But they talk about chemicals that can only be caught at a pool supply chain... What is the recommended cleaning method for deep cleaning filters and pump pump lines?

Ahh-Some Hot Tub/Jetted Bath Plumbing & Jet Cleaner (2 oz)

Definitely purge it! Bring to shock level 1st.
You throw the filters in the tub while u do it(I rinse mine 1st)
Also after the 1st round of funk (wipe/scoop all of it out) add a 1/2 dose & purge again. It will amaze u.
Then u drain & wipe everything & refill.
do it before every water change.
You can buy a spray filter cleaner if u like for inbetween purges. I mostly just rinse them off.
