I contacted Margret and have been trying to buy an explorer 920 for almost 2 weeks now. Never tried to give someone money this hard before! Any other recommendations on places with similar pricing? I just can't get a response to actually make the purchase.
When you get them on the phone, they are great. However, I'm not sure it's worth the time it takes to contact them. My cleaner is under warranty and it's been 4 weeks since I've used it.
The timeline is like this...
Day 1 - I noticed it wasn't working. I left a voicemail at marina during business hours. no call back
Day 4 - called again. no call back
Day 5 - emailed them before they opened for the day. They called back that morning. I received a shipping label from them after business hours for me (different time zones)
Day 7 - I shipped it
Day 10 - they received it
Day 13 - I emailed them to check-in. No reply
Day 19 - I emailed them yet again. They replied hours later saying they were being slowed up b/c Dolphin & pentair are out of the part.
Day 26 - I called them for an update. The part was installed and they were testing it before shipping it back.
Day 28 - I sent them an email this morning wondering what the status may be but they haven't replied.
When I made the purchase in late 2020, I remember it took a few attempts to buy it. This is my third time shipping something back and in each instance I'm spending more and more time without my cleaner. It should be noted that my pool has perfectly balanced water. I test it frequently. I do have some trees on the neighbors' property lines that drop some garbage in my pool. But all in all, my cleaner doesn't have to work very hard. I clean it frequently. It shouldn't be breaking 3 times in 20 months (so far). My next purchase will be a local vendor unless I find a great deal online that I can't pass up.
