I have two pools that the Pentair Salt Cells are dying or dead. They are not available from the manufacturer.. all on backorder.

So recommendations for some Chlorine tabs to let float in the pool or skimmer.
Thanks in advance.

Since you had/have a salt cell, is your CYA around 70 or 80? If you're not using the SWG and going back to chlorine, even temporarily, I would say stay away from tabs because they will raise that CYA to a level that's even higher than recommended for a chlorine pool and you'll go through to a ton of LC.

Reach out to forum member RJ-45 - he can likely tell you what other brand/generic would work for your needs. His latest posts have all been very eye-opening.

I just looked at the prices for those IC 40 and 60 cells... Are they crazzy or are the prices this high because they are not in stock... That is highway robbery...

1200 just for the cell

1500 just for the cell..

For those prices I would change over to a brand new Circupool RJ or SJ 45 or 60 in a heartbeat.. they are the same prices for the complete system and then a replacement cell is between 400 and 600 dollars...

I know you can set the % of the SWG from an app but that is only done a couple times a year... It can easily be done from the panel :)
