I've had a pool blaster catfish li for 4 years. I would get really good life on the battery because I didn't use it a lot, mostly to just clean the tracks behind the raised treads on the steps. Recently the battery died and I charged it and put it back in use. Then it ran for maybe 10 minutes and just quit. And won't charge anymore either. So...I'd like to find a reasonable replacement and I'm pretty disappointed in this because I paid $110 for it. Is there anything out there that's cheaper than pool blaster but not junk?

If you got 4 years, I'd consider that success.

I had mine last for a year, swore I'd never buy one again. Well, I bought one again, and it has lasted 2 years so far. I think you have to consider the purchase of a battery vacuum as a disposable item and hope for more than 1-2 years.

I have the little intex version- grabbed it up on clearance a few years ago. It does ok still but I don’t use it much and I always have to charge it prior.
There was a ryobi version for a while that looked like a promising idea to solve the battery dilemma if you’re already a ryobi user but its been discontinued. May can find one on eBay or mecari etc.
