That was the main reason for the retaining wall. I wanted to insure no movement of the soil. The initial settling occurred when the pool was new. They only had about 2’ decking on that side of the pool and steep hillside beyond that. We extended deck about 10’ and added the retaining wall. Had the pool wall footers tested and good to go, it was out about 2.5 “ at max in one corner only. Removed all the old dirt and backfilled with stone. The old pool had tubular coping that was filled with concrete poured with original decking. Pavers make it easier to service if that is ever needed.
what did you use to build up the wall height where you have the liner track screwed to the wood blocks? did you use sheet metal in the inside then pour concrete under the coping?
Screwed to the blocks about every 6-8”. The blocks allowed concrete to fill and support the coping. We screwed sheet metal up on inside to keep concrete from flowing through. Foam coping forms then on top.
