Really need advise

Had our pool for 22 years. My husband passed away recently and our pool has been problematic since May.
Concrete deck has been dug up in several places in order to repair plumbing leaks.
That's now complete and we have to fill in thd holes and re-concrete.
Original holes were filled with sand. I've since been told, use gravel.
Very confused as to what mat8is best.

Sure, here's some pictures of the dug holes in order to repair plumbing. I'd also like to know if the round cement posts are necessary to refill with sand/ concrete or whether using rebar will be OK?

Who is going to prepare the holes for new concrete?

What do they say the correct base for new concrete is?
