I have a Raypak 406A pool heater. I had the front cover off to install a new flame roll-out switch. I turned the heater on and it fired up and the wind blew it out. I went to turn it back on and nothing...…..not even the display is working. It's dead. I did turn all the power off and still nothing. Anyone experience this issue?

No, there is no pilot

Then follow Troubleshooting on page 42.

You check the circuit breaker to the heater?
  • Check On/Off switch (under lid on control panel)
  • Check for 120/240 volts to the transformer (time clock, circuit breaker, wire connections)
  • Check for 24 volts to Circuit Board (P6 connector)

All of these checked out good. I have power coming to the P6 Connector. I wonder if the circuit board got fried.

Hi, We have the 336A, haven't even started it yet. However, it is replacing basically the same heater. So in a nut shell this will be our 3rd Raypak. So the 1st and second heaters both had roll out problems. The wind just happens to come straight at the box and burn out that switch. Once they installed the stack on it, which is NOT attractive at all the problem was solved. So a few weeks ago when they installed the new one I had them transfer the tall stack to it. It probably will set you back a couple hundred dollars unless you are super handy and can install it yourself. I am by no means an expert, but that did solve that roll out issue. replacing the roll out switch is easy but I think that every time that happens other things can happen. Hope you get it squared away.
