We have a summer waves above ground pool and the top of it causes a skin irritation when i put my arms on it. Does this happen to anyone else? Feels like fiberglass and makes a rash. We have had the pool for a couple of years and it always does this to me. I thought it was just me, because it does not happen to the rest of my family, but my daughters friend had the same reaction. What would you recommend putting on it to stop it or covering it up with?

It's fiberglass coming through from UV degradation of the vinyl it's encased in.
The simplest solution would be to overlay it with tape, but selecting one with UV stability would help make it last longer.
Another strategy is to just wipe it vigorously with a wet throwaway towel to brush off all the exposed fiberglass. But it's not complete and will come back fast.
Paint could be considered, but is likely to look as bad or worse than tape.
