Rain water building up around pool

We just had part of a sloped yard leveled and installed an intex XTR pool. For reference, it has rained a ton where we are lately, and heavy heavy rain. It has washed out part of our driveway and we're not the only ones in the area having issues due to the heavy rain lately.

Just had an hour long storm roll through with very heavy rain and I noticed from in the house, there is water building up around the pool.

Do we need to have someone come out and install drainage outside of the paver line? They used roughly 2 inches of gravel as base, compacted, then covered with sand and leveled the area. I'm concerned seeing this level of standing water, but I understand the ground is saturated right now from the amount of rain we have had.

seems like your install has passed a harsh weather test. the water isn't going to hurt anything, the only risk is if the mud gets soft enough for structure to sink. as long as top is level you are good. extra drainage is up to you but I would be a little wary of digging around and possibly bringing in more problems than a little standing water.

Just wanted to mention those pavers look perfect! I'd almost go buy some just for next time around instead of pressure treated wood... may I ask where you picked those up? If they aren't overly expensive maybe it would be worth doing a whole pad and then foam on top of that...? Land$caping ideas forming... wallet starting to panic! 😆
