I'm trying to clear up my pool again and the water turned even more green overnight. I put in 1 gallon of chlorine last night, this morning, and 30 minutes before this test. I downloaded the app today and am a little confused by the recommendations. The calculator says the alkalinity is high but the kit says its in the middle of the range? It's also suggesting I add 23 gallons of chlorine to reach my 10 FC slam target which can't be right.

25,000 gallon pool
Test kit: Taylor K-2006

1 ppm free chlorine
2.5 ppm combined chlorine
7.6 ph
100ppm alkalinity
140ppm calcium hardness
Cya 10? too low to read. I'll be adding more CYA.

You need to follow the SLAM Process. Pool Math, provided you input pool size correctly, can tell you amounts to add for FC to get to correct SLAM level. But you cannot SLAM with less than 30CYA, so you need to add that immediately, and then assume it's there.

You probably have your pool setup as 250,000 gallons, not 25,000.

Don't worry about TA for now.

I would add 30ppm of CYA. Use the sock method.

Lower your pH by .2 to get to 7.4.

Once your pH is 7.4 and the sock is in the pool, Start the slam with target FC of 12. Link-->SLAM Process
