Questions regarding my soon to be built AGP

Good morning. We will be installing our AGP metal sided pool in a month. A few questions that we have are:

Can we use the landscape fabric under the sand? So there are no folds or tape seams? We aren’t using the gorilla pad. Just Home Depot landscape

Do we really need stone dust around the edge? We dug a 2ft slope down to level last year and before install will remove the top inch or two if soft. I’ve heard horrible stuff about stone dust on this site regarding corrosion. The finest stone dust we can find is over a grain of rice at least in size. Any help would be appreciated.

We are setting it on 12x12 pavers dug flush with the dirt next to it. 3 inches of sand inside the pool wall. Vbead liner 27x54 resin bottom cuffs. Ps. The tarp and bricks are covering the site so the winter didn’t destroy it much. Dug down 2021 and build for 2022

There’s no need for stone dust or landscape fabric.
Sand bottom & pavers under the uprights (level with the ground) is fine.
People add gorilla pad/happy bottom for extra cushion & smoothness - it can be on top of the sand or used alone. Some installers here use vermiculite instead of sand. I think this is mostly for convenience/neatness as they bring it in bags & it keeps the homeowner from having to source sand & having somewhere to put it whilst awaiting their install.
You should definitely use round up (glyphosate)on the ground in the area as well as use granular nut grass killer & granular insecticide for ants, termites & grubs regardless of the bottom type you choose.
The corrosion issue you are referring to is really a product of moisture- some say the stone dust holds more moisture than other aggregates. Ensuring good drainage around & away from the area is the best way to prevent corrosion reguardless of the aggregate used for landscaping around the pool.
Keep the pics coming as u build (we ❤️ Pics) & feel free to ask questions along the way. Good luck with your build!
