Hello all. I had the pool refinished at the start of last season, SGM DiamondBrite exposed aggregate quartz finish.

Two minor issues:

1) I have noticed some minor staining where leaves and other items accrued in the off season. It is not algae as far as I can tell. Any suggestions for cleaning? I have seen Vitamin C tablets recommended?

2) The pool is roughly kidney shaped, with a swimout in the deep end. I suspect because of the placement of the jets, there isn't much constant water flow in the swimout - whatever the reason is, the surface there is significantly rougher than other areas of the pool. I brush this area a few times a week anyway since the S200 can't really get in there, but anything else I could do to smooth it out a bit without damaging the finish?

Chlorine will cause organic stains to fade. Keep your FC at half slam level.

Vitamin C is specifically for iron stains.

Brushing is not going to smooth out your finish.

You can sand the areas with 80/100 grit wet/dry sandpaper or diamond grit sanding pads.
