I am new to this forum. We have had an Intex 22' x 52" for a few years and have decided to upgrade to a Sharkline Oasis 30' x 54" semi inground. We are sinking it 24 inches in the ground. Package comes with a Hayward Matrix Power flow 2hp 2speed (68 gpm low and 128 gpm high per Hayward rep), 200 swimpro cartridge filter, and an automatic chlorine dispenser. I know the 2hp will consume more electricity andthat the max flow capacity of the filter is 120gpm. Will need to change some things in the future. I am probably going to add an Aquacal heat pump.
I have read a few posts regarding adding an extra skimmer and extra returns and there seems to be mixed feelings but these were regarding smaller pools.
I would gladly accept some input regarding whether extra skimmer and returns should be considered on a 23000 gal pool and also placement of said items. The wind typically comes in from the west/southwest.
Any other pearls of wisdom are greatly accepted.
I don't know how much time I have left to change the pool order to change out the pool panels with the precut holes for skimmer and returns so time is of the essence
