Is it normal to have my filters this dirty after being in the pump for 24 hrs and the pump running for 10 hrs? Is algae typically green or what is causes it to become orangish yellow? It’s been like this since I installed the pool a month and a half ago. My water is slightly cloudy.

After I take my pool cover off I notice an oily film on the top of the water. Is this normal?

Thanks

Could be algae, could be iron.
How did you fill your pool (what was the source of the water?)? Are you on a well?

How are you testing your water (what kit do you have)? Can you post a full set of water test results from YOUR kit? FC, CC, pH, TA, CH, CYA.

Also take a picture of the "cloudy" water. If you water is cloudy, the best path is to do and Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If you fail, start the SLAM process to clear the pool. Link-->SLAM Process

Your CYA is all over the place. Let's start there:

You should do the CYA again when the sun is out. You really need to be outdoor with sun. Makes a difference.

Do this when the sun out (even partly cloudy is fine). Stand with your back to the sun. Fill to the first line. Hold and your waist in front of you in the shadow of your body. Glance. If the dot is visible, fill to the next line. Repeat until the dot is obscured. Take the number on that line and add 10. That is your CYA.

I will give that a shot and then try slamming per the chart
