Taking inventory and getting my TF-100 set up, I found a number of reagents that are about a year old, unopened, kept inside cool and dry in the shipping envelope they came in. I think the rule of thumb is about a year shelf life, but can I use them, or pitch them?

If stored inside they are probably fine. Since TF Test Kits gets new product directly from Taylor they are as fresh as you can get, so I personally use them for two years. The one with the highest potential to go bad is the R-0870 DPD powder. Make sure it hasn't clumped together too badly or turned too purple. The least potential to go bad is the R-0013 CYA reagent. I would bet you could get some of that stuff from the 70's and it would still work ?

Great, thanks!
