Question on Pesticide before liner replacement

I am getting my AGP liner replaced this week. I live in New Jersey. The pool is 18 foot round. I was thinking about putting some kind of pesticide treatment down before installing the new liner. Does anybody have any recommendations on what to buy?

I have read of folks using nutgrass killer or some other pesticide under the pad, which then goes under the pool.

I can't vouch for it other than saying its been mentioned here a few times.

You can apply RoundUp and 2,4-D to the ground to get the slumbering weeds, and then scatter diatomaceous earth all over your site to get the ants and other bugs and insects. The DE causes scratches on the hard exoskeletons and the critter dehydrates. Then put your liner if any and ground cloth back down, ready for your new liner.
