Question on lights under sheer descents

Question regarding lights under sheer descents. Jandy recommends two options. Putting a bench under the water fall with the lights in the bench or doing a build out. I don't want a bench so I'm going to do a build out. Has anyone done this before? Thoughts?

Thanks. I want that light to be built into the pool just like the lights that light up the pool. I was hoping that someone here had the same thing done so I can get their thoughts on it. I don't want to build a bench underneath it since it would be wasted space for us.
