Question about water testing for FC and CC.

Welcome to TFP! Good to have you here :) Great first post by the way.

Everything for Trouble Free Pool Care (TFPC) can be done with the 10 ml sample size.

The 25 ml sample size is more accurate, but the extra accuracy is not needed, and you pinned the disadvantage!

Personally, I think a .5 resolution is fine, so I use a 10 'll sample. The difference between a 6.2 and a 6.6 is really not that important, 6.5 is good enough.

25 mL gives you a "finer" result since each drop is 0.2 ppm vs 0.5 ppm for the 10 mL sample. Either way is close enough if you are hitting your target FC for your CYA more often than you are at minimum or below.

Precision and accuracy are impacted by how you fill the sample container and how you add your drops of R-0871. Technichally, accuracy is how close you are to the actual value. Precision refers to your ability to repeat your results on the same sample. You can be very precise and not at all accurate if you do the test wrong, but do it the same way every time.
