Anyway Jim, running @ that speed for you do you run a vacuum system? Unless I'm setting things up wrong Vac wouldn't be powerful enough at that speed. I'm still figuring out that setting as well. Looks like I'll settle on 2500 rpm for 2 hrs a day to keep it clean.

Crazy amount of variables to dial in a pool, but I'm up to the challenge thanks to TFP. I don't know how anyone would figure all this stuff out solo.

No vacuum for me, I've always owned robots...

I doubt very much if 1,200 would do much for a vacuum...

Let me see if I have this correct... you spent good money on the most efficient VS pump in the world, so that you could run it fast enough to vacuum your pool??? :D

Terribly sorry got my nomenclature wrong! I own a robot that's what I meant to say instead of a vacuum. Haha

Ok, now I'm really confused... :confused:

I believe what you have is a suction side cleaner. The pump has to be running for it to work. It is usually connected to a vacuum port in the side of the pool.

A "Robot" is powered by low voltage and has no hose going to it, just an electrical cable. The pump does not need to be running for the robot to work.

That is why I can run my pump at 1,200 RPM...

Call me noob! ?. Yes, I have side suction cleaner. So yes, efficient VS pump and I'm currently trying to dial in the most efficient speed for the least amount of time to run the vacuum. So far I'm going with two hours at 2200 RPM to see if that's enough time/speed. It's the dial-in efficiency dance. I didn't know anything about what I had the PB ordered all the equipment and now I get to learn how to use it the most efficient way. Which at the end of the day will still cost.

The other eight hours I'll run it at about 1500 RPMs. See what my CH/PH range stays in.
