Hi everyone, with the ideal levels for my chemistry listed in the pool school, I noticed that that it doesn’t take into consideration my pool temp. With the Taylor water gram (the circle CSI dial) if I put everything in the ideal levels my pool temp would have to be 60-70 F. Where I live (Miami, FL) during the summer, it’s not unheard of for my pool temp to be in the mid 80’s. If thy is taken into consideration during that time my CSI would be outside the acceptable range . Thanks for the help!

We use PoolMath to calculate CSI.
Adjust your pH target to try and keep your CSI in range as water temperature changes.
Conditions are not always ideal. Pool plaster can survive a few months of low CSI due to low water temperature.

Would it make a difference if my CH is lower than the recommended? Because using the water wheel it would be a big difference if I use the recommended level

PH 8 (adjusted it to 7.6), FC 10, CC <0.5, alk 85, CYA 60 (need to raise it), CH 230. Current water temp is 73F but in summer it’s between 80-85 degrees

Your TA is either 80 or 90. Which is it?
What is your pH, TA, and CH of your fill water?

Let’s say 90 .. and my fill water is well water and not sure how to measure it. During the summer it rains a lot so not much filling with the well water . The question is more with current levels of my chemistry .. how the temp on 80 makes a difference in the CSI. Comparing from. Pool math and the Taylor wheel

Take a sample of your fill water and test pH, TA and CH with your test kit.
Do you have the paid version of Pool Math? If not, subscribe...it $8/yr...well worth it.
Before you get the subscription, make sure you are logged into Pool Math with same ID/PW as TFP.
Then, in pool math, go to gear in upper right...enable TRACK CSI, TRACK TEMPERATURE, and enable Sharing with TFP...so we can see your logs.
Ignore LSI...use CSI...
