As the title suggests I’m hoping someone has had experience with this model sand filter (probably in Australia) can offer some advice. I guess most sand filters are pretty much the same in their construction. I’ve researched this model for spare parts etc but had no success.
It has worked without any issues for quite a few years. Apart from fitting a new upper part (with the handle) and getting my local pool shop to do a sand change a couple of years ago nothing else has ever needed to be done.
I’ve noticed in the past 2 - 3 weeks a small amount of sand is finding its way into the pool. Brushed up would only amount to a small cupped handful if that. I’ve researched it and discovered it could possible be a couple of things. Cracked lateral or possibly an eroded or faulty spider gasket. Spider gasket is easy enough to check but from what I can see checking laterals is a major job.
Anyone that’s had experience with this model filter that can offer some suggestions would be very much appreciated. Cheers.
