Have been reading this forum and practicing TFP methods for many years. I thought I'd share how I plumbed my filter, buring the pipes about a foot below the ground. This has held up for 8 years. At the end of the season the pump is moved to a shed, the lines are filled with RV antifreeze, the open unions are covered with a plastic bag and a zip ties. I especially like being able to walk all around the filter area without thinking about tripping.
Thanks to all who contribute to this site. My pool really is trouble free all season every season. I can predict when I need to add bleach and how much, thus I can occasionally miss or skip testing without worry.
