Opened pool last weekend. Ended up getting too busy to drain the cover so everything on top got dumped in the pool. Needless to say pool is very green as a result.

Been busy with a number of things so I have not been the best at keeping up with constant testing and dosing so the fact it's still green isn't the puzzling part.

Last Wednesday and today I have had more time to devote to it and both days when I test FC levels have often gone up with zero addition of CL. I added a gallon of 12.5% when I got home last night cause it had been at least 24 hours since I did anything.

When I got out to the pool and measured I was right at 16 SLAM level based on expected CYA level. Pulled filter out. Vacuumed what I could get with a little battery powered vac, rinsed filter and brushed floor and walls. It was about 2 hours later and measured 19 FC.

SWG is in the basement and just have straight pipe in its place so there should be no reason it would go up. Saw the same pattern last Wednesday when I spent most of the day testing as well.

Any ideas why?

Post up a full set as Maddie prompted.

Clean your vial with rubbing alcohol, DRY IT/Wipe it dry, then retest.
Testing errors are common. Clean your vials, hold the reagent vertical. Sloooowly squeeze so that the drops form and drop under their own weight. Might even try and wipe the tip (around, not over) with a wet paper towel before using (removes any static)...
Lots of testing errors can cause this:

Cleaned all my test equipment like PoolStored suggested and did a full retest.

Guess I had some cya at open as it's higher than I expected. Not in best spot for SLAM but at a good level for when SWG gets started.

Still same puzzling FC results though
