I have an old purex triton minimax 400. My pool guy say its old and i need a new one. We don't use the pool enough to make that type of investment. Im hoping someone can suggest something else. The burners are working. I have good flow. Flow valve looks good. Water is warm but not hot. At the current rate, it would take two days to heat the pool. What could the problem be?

What is your pool water temperature and air temperature and what are you trying to heat the pool to?
Do you have a pool cover?
If the heater is running the heat is going into the water or out the exhaust.
